Truck dispatch questions, answered
Everything carriers usually ask us before they start. Don't see your question? Call us — we're happy to talk it through.
Getting started
What does a truck dispatch service do?
A dispatcher finds and books loads for your truck, negotiates rates with brokers, handles carrier setup paperwork and keeps things moving between pickup, delivery and payment. You stay focused on driving.
What do I need to start dispatching with Aero Glide?
An active MC / USDOT authority, a certificate of insurance, a W-9 and a signed dispatch agreement. If you use a factoring company, we'll also need their Notice of Assignment or a letter of release.
Do you work with new MC authorities?
Yes. Some brokers restrict very new authorities, so we focus on brokers and lanes that work with newer carriers and help you build a track record.
What equipment do you dispatch?
Dry van, reefer, flatbed and step deck, 26-ft box trucks, hotshot and power only. If you run something else, ask us — we'll tell you honestly whether we're a good fit.
Loads & day-to-day
Do I have to accept every load you find?
No. We send you the load details and rate first, and nothing is booked until you approve it.
Where do your loads come from?
We use the major load boards together with direct relationships with brokers, and we check broker credit before booking.
Can you plan loads around my home time?
Yes. Tell us your home base, preferred lanes and when you need to be home, and your dispatcher plans the week around it.
Do you handle the paperwork with brokers?
Yes — carrier packets, rate confirmations, insurance certificates, PODs and invoices. You'll still receive copies of everything.
Pricing & payment
How much does truck dispatching cost?
Dispatch is priced as a percentage of each load's gross revenue. Your rate depends on your equipment, number of trucks and the services you need — request a quote and we'll give you a clear number.
Do you work with factoring companies?
Yes. We can send invoices and paperwork to your factoring company, or work with you if you invoice brokers directly.
